My fiancée shall be flying into Dulles, so we'll be in VA for a bit. My sister lives right up the road from Harper's Ferry, which is where MD, W. VA, and VA all meet. Oh, and a friend from college is from Lynchburg VA.

As things stand now, we'll be living in Baltimore for the next two years, until I fulfill my commitment to the city. Afterwards, I am thinking of finding a good chunk of land out near my sister's family. I've been living in or near cities my entire life and it's about time I find some tranquil surroundings to match my serenity of mind. Ironically my fiancée comes from a small mountain village, so there is nothing particularly appealing about my dream to her. She's worked her whole life to get out of the farmer's life and that is precisely what I am working toward. At the same time she does not like city life so much, so I think the next two years will be enough for her as well.

Thanks for the information Kaye...well we have been doing alot of searches already but we really couldnt find the cheapest...(maybe we have not done enough hehe)..Anyway hope you could give me the site? You every dollar counts especially now that we're expecting alot of expenses, trips, wedding, celebration, and more....

Congratulations guys to those who recently just got their NOA2!!!

I'm also so happy coz i'm already holding my passport with my K1 visa  My flight to Maryland is already on April 14th bought my tickets already and i will be flying in with my parents so that they can attend my civil ceremony on the 16th of april. This will be a long flight i think it would be like 23 hrs to reach MD.

Hi Kaye...anyone here could get envious of you like i do...sometime soon i'll be feeling same way you feel about getting close to being together with your lover...and hope you have a safe up coming trip on April..My fiance and i are also starting to check online for the cheapest fare so far we have found that the Northwest airline is. Its like a little over a thousand from manila to detroit to huntsville Alabama since he's in Bama boy. hehe. What's your airline if you dont mind. thank you.

I got a 1 way ticket via korean airlines via mnl-iad for $695 nett and my parents got their roundtrip tickets for $1,155 mnl-iad & lax-mnl. Northwest nowadays are expensive i was trying to get northwest for my mileage but it is $1000 just for 1 way ticket.

I just did a quick search on www.vayama.com and found a one-way ticket from Manila to Huntsville for $1364. A bit expensive, I know.

Unfortunately I am getting similar prices for a one way ticket from Bangkok to Washington DC. I am hoping my fiancée can talk to the ticket consolidators in Bangkok and find something cheaper.

Have you guys noticed that besides August 08 VSC and July 08 CSC, we are the most active thread in this section? And since they are a few months ahead of us, we could surpass them in the same time frame.

I believe what it bespeaks is the community we've formed. I was talking a bit about VJ to my father yesterday and he said "Seems like you got a support group there." I reiterated what others have said, "Most other people do not understand the process and what we're going through, but these folks certainly do."

Thank you all, for you

Yes, thank you to everyone on this thread!!!

It is a wonderful support group because nobody

else can even try to understand this process unless

they have gone through it-I cannot imagine all the

waiting and worrying if I did not know about VJ and I

was not able to check our thread 50 times per day!!
