U.S. Sens. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts and Robert Menendez of New Jersey are sponsoring a bill to protect the rights of U.S. citizens and legal residents caught up in immigration enforcement raids.

The Protect Citizens and Residents from Unlawful Raids and Detention Act calls for more stringent legal procedures when authorities execute immigration-related warrants.

The two Democratic lawmakers say lawful residents and U.S. citizens — in many cases, the American-born children of immigrants — are frequently caught up in raids and have been mistreated.

Immigration officials have conducted a series of high-profile workplace raids across the country in recent months in a crackdown on businesses that employ illegal immigrants.

Apparently, guidelines are a hindrance to treating anchor babies how they should be treated, like criminals too.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
