Igor's list Vs. CSC estimated wait times.....

Hello everyone. I file my I-129 back on mAy 29th and was just wondering how accurate is Igor's list compared to UCICS' estimated wait times? Anyone know?

According to Igor's list my NOA2 should be coming within a few weeks, but looking at the official estimated wait times at CSC I am looking a few months :bonk: Which is more accurate? To me it seems like Igor's list is more real life (albeit a small sample of real life) whereas UCICS is more like a very time-padded loose guesstimate to cover their A**es in case they take longer than the promised times...I dunno. :help:

What is everyone's experiences or thoughts on this?

Thanks, Erika

Can't speak for Igor's list but the USCIS estimated is NOT accurate because they will never reprot a date of less than 6 mos.

YMMV

USCIS's list is indicative of the earliest date they are still working from in processing that type of petition. For instance, if they are processing some April, some May, some June and some July, the date will show as the April on there.

I don't know about Igor's; but I am guessing that one shows the actual dates of people and thus is what you are looking.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

What you see here and what you see on Igoes list is only a FRACTION of applications in the USCIS, you have to remember that not all applicants are members of this forum.

PM me for any AP or AR relating to the NBI

I filed May 5 and Visa Journey's estimated between Sept. 29 and Oct 8. The USCIS site said they sent me an REF on Oct. 7 so Visa Journey is very close to actual time

but even with the small population, it should be a reasonable representation of actuals

The USCIS date serves a different purpose than to tell you when it may be done, it also serves to tell you when you are allowed to start nagging them about it and asking your local senator to crawl up their butt, so they have extra incentive to keep their processing date farther back. Basically if you aren't out of their processing time, you can't really do anything about it, it's cut and dry, once you are outside of that time, you grant you permission to get answers of some kind I guess.

EXACTLY!

if anything YOU should follow your timeline, even though some folks get it early or after that said timeline estimate (however this estimate is about Vj people and not ALL of what uscis gets)

so deep down I just follow igors list and my timeline...why? ONE i get some sort of estimate and two it makes me feel a WHOLE lot better lol

Well....immediately after I posted this topic I checked both Igor's list (I was #99) AND the official USCIS website I found out my NOA2 was approved October 7th, so I answered my own question. Now we all know Igor's list is a pretty accurate representation of wait times. I suppose once you are in the top 100 your NOA2 can come at any time! Good luck all and hope my topic helped someone else :wow:

On to the next step of many more........

That is good feedback for the current algorithms we use to determine estimated processing dates. I would appreciate other people's experiences as well :). I am always open to improving the timeline system.
