Expiring Green Card, what form should I use ????

hello everyone. my TWO year green card will expire in about three month. now i'm trying to figure out, which form i must send to uscis to get a new one.

as usually it confuses the poop out of me.... form I-90 doesn't seem quite fitting, because it seems to be in connetction with a TEN year green card. but neither does form I-751 feel right.

any help on the subject it highly appreciated...

Your two year green card is a conditional card because your residency is 'conditional' and only valid for 2 years. The I-751 is the form with which you request to 'remove' the conditions on your residency by proving you have a valid marriage to a US citizen and grants you unconditional permanent residency and issues a 10 year card. Be sure to apply before your green card expires. The window to apply opens 90 days (not three months) prior to the expiry of your green card.

So when you say "the window open to apply begins 90 days prior to the card's expiration" means that you can submit everything within that window period & not necessarily on the first day? Am i making sense? My card expires Jan 31,2009 so my window period starts Nov 2,2008, do i need to submit everything for removal of conditions exactly Nov 2? or i can submit anytime starting Nov 2 & before my card expires? Im confused,pls help. Thanks

You submit the I-795 anytime between Nov 2, and when your card expires (Jan 31). It is best to get it in sooner rather than later to avoid any unforeseen delays, but you do have 90 days to get the packet to the USCIS. Good luck!!
