i485 RFE

Payxibka- I am looking online but I do not see a "status message". The chart says receipt number, email, last updates, form and form title... i do not see any status?? where would i find this?

It has been a while, but there is a "hyperlink" that you click on (maybe it is the receipt number) that takes you to the status message

Thanks! By clicking on the receipt # it does give me the case status.. hadn't noticed that before!! thanks! They did recieve my rfe documents!

If you click on the receipt number, you'll get another page and it should look something like this (when they receive your RFE):

Receipt Number: MSCXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case processing has resumed

Can anyone please tell me, how long is it taking these days to recieve a response (once all the returned forms are resubmitted) to recieve a reply regarding a i485 RFE?. I know they say 90 days but, is this the norm?

I received an email alert that they were sending an RFE on 9/26. The letter came on 10/2 which stated that the person submitting the I-129F was not the same person as who sent the I-486 with the I-485. I moved and the addresses were different. I updated my address online and resubmitted the I-486 as the RFE required. The express mail was received by them on 10/6. On 10/9 the I-485 was touched and the status changed back to processing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quick response.

What is the I-486? or do you mean I-864?
