Hi everyone. I'm just curious how long does it usually take to get the NOA 1 after sending it in? We sent it at the beginning of last week. We still have about 2 months before GC expires but would like some confirmation they got the thing! I sent a money order so no way to see if the check was cashed or not. We filed at VSC.

I'm VSC.

Still have not received my NOA-1 - 7 months later.

Have logged a service request on it - but yet to hear about that!

I've had my Biometrics done etc, and I went to verify my case status was OK at the local office, and it is.... and I have the stamp in my passport... still no NOA-1 though.

Regards,

Jamie

Hi MrsAmera,

This is my (AntandD)'s detailed I-751 information so far, as also mentioned on my VJ timeline:

CIS Office :Vermont Service CenterDate Filed :2008-08-18 (USPS Delivered 2008-08-20, Cheque/Check Cashed 2008-08-25) NOA Date :2008-08-22 (Received 2008-08-27)RFE(s) :N/ABio. Appt. :2008-09-24 (Walk-In Biometrics) (Original Appt Date 10/02/08, Notice Date 2008-09-11, Received 2008-09-15)Comments : Chapter 4 "Removed": Filed the I-751/Removal Of Conditions, jointly by Ant and D. Also enclosed 100+ pages of required relevant joint evidence with the application. Ant had a successful 'walk-in biometrics' in Buffalo NY on 2008-09-24, which was a week earlier than the original scheduled appointment date, due to transportation and medical issues.

The Journey Continues...

Hope this helps. Hope you get your NOA soon, which should be in a week after you sent it in, as that's when I got mine.

Good luck on your immigraiton journey too.

Ant (Still waiting at the VSC...)

P.S. By the way, since you're also filing at the VSC for the I-751, you can add your name and information to the following message thread list: "VSC I-751 Status List" (look for the last updated list on the last page), so you can see your own progress and help all VJers on this same long wait too. Thank you.: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=110056

I got mine the afternoon before my card expired (so it took about 2 months or more). I actually made an appointment to get a stamp, and right when I am telling my advisor I need some time to drive to the office the next day, my attorney called and told me they sent the NOA to her instead of me... but they got it the day before my card expired. So the faxed me a copy until I got the letter from them in the mail!

However, my biometrics letter came within a few weeks of filing, and my appointment was about 5 days after I got the letter.

Mailed N-400 March 6th via priority certified mail and Rec'd 9th (confirmation by USPS)

NOA rec'd: 3/19/2009 (date 3/16/2009, priority 3/9/2009)

Biometrics rec'd 3/26/2009, appt 4/9/2009

IL: 5/22/09

ID: 07/06/2009

Oath: 07/16/2009

SSN updated: 7/16/2009 (not received yet)
