I enjoy facebook. Keep in contact with friends back home! It does get addicting

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I got rid of my facebook account. I was sick of people I never spoke to in high school adding me as friends just to increase their following on their own page.

I do miss getting to see my friends photos and stories though. That almost makes me wanna come back in my alter ego form.

I just don't add people that I have a desire not to speak with, lol

same here.. I have even deleted people that I have already added :P

does facebook make a grand announcement like, *Marilyn* is no longer friends with *julez*, or is it all quiet  They do like to announce things...my luck someone would ask why they can't access my profile anymore....

What's always awkward is finding friends from high school and asking about "so and so" and finding out "so and so" died.

Err talk about a conversation killer.

This happened when I asked this one guy about his brother and how his brother was doing.

"Oh well my brother died a couple of years ago"

Ooookay then...next topic.

I HATE the quiz applications where you answer all the questions and then it says you have to send it to 10 of your friends before you get the results.. I always block those now...

Wow! I'm learning a lot here. I saw "applications" on there but I didn't know what the heck it was.

And *len* is soooooooooo much cuter than her VJ avatar suggests!:lol:

yup, I actually have 2 eyes

I am so far removed from high school that it's pretty unlikely I'll have that problem.

OMG. The same thing happened to my sister. Her old friend asked her "Does your sister still keep in touch with so-and-so?" She replied "Only by Ouija board."
