Hi, I had my medical last Tuesday (Oct 7) and was asked to come back yesterday (Oct 9). The reason they said was because there were a lot of people from last week who has not gotten their results and vaccines yet. Same thing with my companion who is also from VJ who came with me Tuesday and came back yesterday... We just got lucky we only have one day gap.

But she told me there's another one from VJ whom she met who were asked also to come back on Monday for the second day. Sorry guys to hear that, I think there is really a backlog because last Tuesday we arrived at 6:30AM and ended up at 6PM because there were too many people at that time.

Hang in there...

Hey,

Thanks for the info. I was hoping this was just an anomaly, but I see it is common. The embassy in Manila is the busiest for US visas, so we think there should a better system, like -at the least- another place for medical and interview.

It seems there is very little oversight with the process. I have read several years back on VJ, and noticed the same issues over and over.

Hi everyone,

Kris just finished her first day medical, and they told her to come back on Monday, Oct. 13. I am disgusted about this. Her interview is on Oct. 20; that is four days after the first day.

She says everything went well, they actually seemed in a hurry all day. Has anyone else had to wait four days for the second day of medical?

It is not right for St. Luke to do this. That is another four days of motel fee for most people.

Thanks

usually after the result that's that time (2nd day) they will give you the vaccines..

there are lotsa people goin to SLEC for medical exams not just US visa applicants..

SLEC also caters new zealand and canada visa applicants if im not mistaken..

if she was asked to go back days after her 1st day then maybe there are backlogs on giving the results..

that's just my guess tho..

goodluck.. ;)

I had my first day medical on April 28 of this year and I believed everything went well (finished it past 8PM). So when the lady on the check out counter told me to come back on the 7th of May (that's more than 1 week of waiting) I was confused and at the same time exhausted, so instead of asking her why I just decided to go home and rest.

The following morning I started feeling nervous, I thought the reason why they asked me to wait that long is because something's wrong with my medical. I was restless and super scared while waiting for my second day... to make my story short I got nervous for nothing. I was from Manila and maybe that's the primary reason why they asked me to come back after more than a week, they have to accommodate people who came all the way from the province.

In my passport, SLEC stamped N (stands for NORMAL) dated April 28, first day of my medical.

I arrived here in the US on the 28th of June 2008.

So just relax keep your mind/ your fiancee's mind on your upcoming interview. Good luck!

i had a friend too who had her medical last monday, Oct.6 and she was told to come back next monday which is Oct.13 for her 2nd day. according to her, since her interview is on Oct.24, SLEC gives priority to those who are about to have their interview dates soon.
