Like I said, it all depends on how much a voter distances him or herself from what others want him or her to think. Do some factchecking. Obama has had proposals for governing since day 1. So has McCain.

Great. Now we have a guy advocating we live in caves to filter out all the campaign messages.

Most voters aren't doing "factchecking" and you know it. Obama may have had proposals but nobody was listening. It doesn't matter most of Obama's appeal comes from an anti-Bush vote anyway packaged by a guy with new face in American politics.

Nobody isn't you, Dave. ;)

Just wondering if

1. There are people who will admit to voting for Bush (extra credit if you voted for him twice)

2. If there are people who think he did a great job over the last 8 years.

3. If there are people who think he did a poor job over the last 8 years.

4. If there are people who think they chose poorly, but are absolutely right this time.

Just wondering...

Well the Wall Street CEOs did ok, no?

I wasn't here in 2000 or 2004 but I was disgusted to see that Bush "win" the election on both attempts. I think one of the jobs of the next president should be to have Bush investigated for war crimes, arrested (if there's evidence) and if found guilty jail him or send him back to Texas and give him the chair. I know it'll never happen, sweep it under the rug and move on...

Bush has in my opinion done an unholy amount of damage to the once good name of America by invading, thieving, murdering, lying, torturing and raping not just his own country but other nations as well. The man is a terrorist and a thief in my personal opinion. He makes Nixon look like a saint!

and because most dumb@sses won't vote for obama because his middle name is Hussein

There's more people voting for him just because he's black. He had the least experience of any candidate from a major party and looking different was asset in the primaries. Most people voted for him long before they knew what he stood for. People voted for Bush because of his family name and being a state governor.

I know it's hard to believe but there were other people to vote for in 2000 and 2004. Neither Gore or Kerry impressed me. They didn't impress many other people either because neither of them developed a strong base to run for president again.

Obama is going be a big let down as he has been billed as the new messiah and he's going to find out he can't talk his way out of problems. He'll a lot of power at home, little real media criticism and supposedly a lot of support abroad. If he fails, it will fall on him but I believe Bush will get the blame for the next 4 to 8 years whether it has merit or not.

I'd hate to let you down, but you likely have a messiah who wouldn't get my vote, in imaginaryland.

Anyways, I got my voter registration completed just before I turned 18, and voted in the 2000 elections, which was only a few months into my 18th. Voted for Gore/Lieberman. Also voted to recall Gray Davis, and voted for Ahnold the Governator. Then I voted a few times for Senator, which included Feinstein and Boxer. House Reps came and went in my district so I forget who I voted for back then. Anyways, being open-minded, and also fed up, with the current two party system, I've taken my options elsewhere, to third party, and none of the two parties will get a single vote from me, especially given their "party unity" stance. If they'd rather screw America as a collective party, rather than greedy individuals, I'll go against the entire party.

Oh, also, indeed most voters aren't very bright, but they are also especially on your side, alien.
