Yet more 'Palin is a woman so if you are a woman you are a hypocrit if you don't support her' tosh. This is ####### of the highest order but luckily most people recognize it for what it is. :)

Of course, I particularly love VW's lack of logic re abortion. I mean, everyone "MUST" have an abortion when they get pregnant, they can't possibly CHOOSE to keep the baby.

To be honest, if I were a dyed in the wool feminist I would be fuming at these type of 'anti' feminism journalistic pieces. All the real, good work that women have done for each other, the real changes the likes of Pankhurst made to the lives of women, and now this? Pathetic, and sad.

Feminists have never advocated that they be treated 'with kid gloves' but to be given the merit they deserve, Ms Palin simply doesn't have the merit for the job she is seeking, end of story. That's it, the rest is a crock of ####.

At what point is the concession made that women and minorities might just vote on the issues, like everyone else?

HA, right on Paul

I remember during the primaries when people were concerned that Black women wouldn't be able to decide

on voting for a woman or a Black candidate...as if those were their only choices, and as if they were only capable of

making choices based on color or gender.

WOW...this country has come a long way in terms of treating women and minorities as equals...NOT!

This is so sad, but so true. I blame a lot of these types of attitudes on the media (These types of totally disingenuous arguments that we see in this article) and those stupid polls that sort respondants based on gender and ethnicity. It's total bull #######.

Equal rights, equal treatment.

Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama are two women supporting their men, what's the difference between the "first dude" and these two women?

NONE

It is nonsense to highlight and dedicate a whole thread about this guy supporting his wife,

When have you seen a whole thread dedicated solely on discussing Michelle Obama or Cindy McCain's support for John and Barack?

NEVER

We are seeing double standards here, better be careful. Still, doesn't amaze me knowing the GOP mentality.

I posted an article, and said that feminists have the choice to be pro-abortion or anti-abortion (true). The vitriol and rants that arise from the imaginations and prejudices of the subsequent posters and have little or nothing to do with me.

why do u insist calling pro-choice pro-abortion? being pro-choice doesn't mean that you'll automatically abort when you're pregnant, but rather will take a decision based on facts, life and situations rather than a religious conviction or whatnot

In order to have choices, one must have more than one thing to choose from. To limit women to being pro-abortion in order to be feminists precludes choice, resulting in, a lack of choice.

Indeed. Women can also be pro-servitude-to-men.

Does it represent the feminist movement? ** no.

You're still far from making any sense.

Excellent analogy. Although pro-choice itself is pretty self-explanatory.

It's "Pro-Choice", not Pro-Abortion. Pro-Choice vs. Anti-Choice

One gives women 2 possible choices, one wants to give them no choice.

:star::star::star::star::star:

big f##king deal..i know several men.//..who have been supportive of their wife's in their career and life..todd palin is no differnet than allot of american men..why does he deserve special merit?

OMFG. Seriously, this goes beyond stupidity.

So, my husband is one of the most supportive men I know. We should give him an effing medal for not tying me to the kitchen and *gasp* knowing that I do not want to get pregnant and *holy cow* marrying someone with an education. For crying out loud.

Makes me wonder what kind of men some people are married to, if what Mr. Palin does is something due of standing ovation and recognition. Grow up.
