Hello guys just wanna ask if someone knows if our expenses and fee's Tax deductible? such as the medical exam or the Adjustment of status fee.

12/00/06: we met online Cherry Blossoms Thank you so much

04/23/07: First visit and first meeting in person

04/26/07: He give me his first gift, a bracelet.

California Service Center : Service Center

Manilla, Philipines : Consulate

07/27/07: I-129F Sent

01/31/08: I-129F NOA2

03/07/08: Packet 4 Received

03/24/08: His 2nd visit

03/25/08: Attend Guidance and Counseling in CFO with him waiting at the waiting area.

03/26/08: He surprised me with an Engagement Ring!

03/27/08: Medical Appointment but I went their with him on 03/26/08 and finished 03/27/08

03/28-04/02/08 : We went to Puerto Galera while waiting for our date of Interview ( we both did enjoy)

04/03/08: Interview Date Approved!

05/02/08: Got a text from Delbros (Northern Mindanao Area)

05/16/08: Visa on hand!

05/22/08: Going to CFO Manila for sticker

05/24/08: Flight to US yehey

Port Of Entry: LAX (LA)

06/21 /08: Wedding

AOS

08/18/08: Submitted AOS application

08/20/08: USCIS recieve our AOS application

08/22/08: Recieve Notice from USCIS that they recieve it

08/25/08: Recieve an Appointment Notice (Biomentric)

09/17/08: Biometric Appointment

Embassy called my wife and set appointment for 10-10-2008 to pick up paperwork.

Appointment set for October 21, 2008 at 12pm

10-20-2008 Interview at 12pm. APPROVED!!PICK UP VISA 10-21-2008 at 3 pm

I-485 AOS

07-21-2009 - Mailed via overnigt. They received 7-22-2009 and rejected the same day.

07-29-2009 - Received rejected I-485 in the mail. (Incorrect fee's)

07-30-2009 - Mailed corrected packet overnight, they received next day 7-31-09

08-03-2009 - Received NOA for I-485 and I-765.

08-10-2009 - Received Biometrics appointment letter. Appt is on 09-02-2009 (DONE) Easy

09-15-2009 - I-765 Approved, Card production ordered

10-20-2009 - I-485 Appt Set

10-20-2009 - APPROVED!! Fast and easy 10-15 min interview.

10-21-2009 - CRIS email. Card production ordered.

obviously, from the previous posters, the answer is no. Some health plans won't even cover procedures that are for immigration purposes.

My employer has a pretty decent health care PPO package, and even that didn't cover any of the immigration related expenses.

Well, the medical exam *could* be deductible but that would assume that the person has more than the prescribed 7.5% AGI of qualified medical expenses (of which only the amount above the 7.5% becomes a deduction) AND you itemize your deductions on Schedul A of the 1040

That's right, you must also be a CPA. Any medical expenses from you or spouse or dependents exceeding 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income is deductible under your itemized deductions (personal expenses).

True, but to my wife CPA means Constant Pain in the Azz :)
