I'm so sorry this happened to your husband. I don't understand why they think they must insult them at these interviews and be so rude. I hope you get things worked out and all goes well. (F)(F)(F)

thanks m4evr. I will do that and ask him for the same. I tried to fax a senator but the fax is busy :( is there a certain senator for calif. 6th district that is best for these things?

Another thought. If they tell you that it has already been sent back don't believe them. They told me that, and they didn't actually send it back for 3 more months. Once they have sent it back they have what is called a diplomatic pouch number. You can track it with that. But I have never heard that they sent it back quickly, so fight it there first.

Have your husband scan and email you the 221g. They are pretty much required to have given him one.

There isn't much that your husband can do from there. He is not a US citizen. But what he can do is to gather up letter of support for your relationship from his family and friends. Have it translated, scanned, and emailed to you. On your part you can have family and friends do the same. Scan them all and send them to the senator/congressman once you have a commitment to help you. Ask him if he can provide these to the consulate.

does anyone know who the best senator to contact is for northern California? I tried a couple but their faxes are busy :crying:

Feinstein! Check in your phone book and CALL her.

You only have 2 senators from each state.

I am so sorry this is happening to you. Everyone, especially M4E, has given you excellent advice. The sooner you can inundate Casa fax machine with supporting documentation the better.

It's true that it is very difficult to turn this thing around quickly. But if it gives you any encouragement, I know a woman whose husband's CR-1 application was supposed to be sent back a couple of years ago. They fought hard, immediately, with the help of her representative and supporting letters from friends. It was a fight, but they were successful in turning it around before it was sent back, and he is here now. So it isn't hopeless, but do act quickly with everything you have.

I am so sorry this happened to you! It's angering to hear how they treat people. In addition to your senator, you should try to contact your representative, because they are usually more responsive to constituent requests, especially around election time!! You can find your representative at: http://whoismyrepresentative.com/ by entering your zip code.

I would also try to call the Casa consulate--it's hard to get through but if you keep calling and insisting I know for a fact that sometimes people get through. You might want to start with American citizen services (on Casablanca consulate website) and insist that they transfer you or even the emergency number at night (I'm pretty sure that goes straight to a consular official). I would be nice, but firm and say that it is imperative that you talk to someone before they send back the petition, and it's only fair that they let you talk to someone because this could have an extremely adverse effect on your life. Maybe also mention that you are getting your congressperson involved.

Good luck!

I am so sorry this happened to you - it is so hard when you cannot be there at the interview and judge the situation with your own eyes and ears - this is going to be our situation but nothing can be done. I think the most cruel thing is she was friendly at first and then turned into the b#tch from hell.... If it were me I would be devastated. Email your representative STAT and like others have said get signed letters from his family and yours in support of your relationship - tell them to say how long they have known about the relationship so there is documentation on ongoing support.

I already have my representative's website shortcut on my desktop in case I need it - quite frankly I am pessimistic about our own situation since I am 16 years older than my husband and we married quickly which is customary in his culture but not with an older foreign woman who most likely cannot have kids. I think now I am going to get G to have his parents, sisters and uncle write letters so we will be prepared. He is also very sweet and shy and kind and I know being treated like this would be devastating to him.

Please act quickly and I am praying for you... (F)(F)(F)

Athough you do need to get that signed form for them, it is also good to call. Emails get put off to the side, so call call call. You can find another way to get the signed form to them if the fax won't work, even if you have to drop it off at lunch time.

Oh no, MartiniOlive, i'm so sorry to hear this! This is terrible and i am feeling sick just reading about it. Please stay strong. Contact all your Representatives and your 2 state Senators. You may find some of them more receptive than others. Just keep calling and asking questions until someone agrees to help you.

Best of luck. You have my prayers! And keep in mind this is not your or your husband's fault, the Casa consulate seems to have a rule book of its own. You can never anticipate how they are going to treat a visa applicant. i'm so sorry...

We are soo sorry to hear the sad news. I think I recall a slumber party announcement a week or so ago announcing your second interview? Also, there is a thread in regards to the denials coming out of Morocco, check it out it may be of some assistance.

I cant believe such horrible games with peoples time, money & emotions are played like this. We wish we could do more for you than just offer our prayers ~ but its the best we have to offer.

Again, sorry & good luck in your next moves ...prince+angel

SORRY FOR THAT MARTINI

JUST ANOTHER PRIME EXAMPLE OF HOW OUR LIVES AND HAPPINESS ARE IN THE HANDS OF PEOPLE WHO MAKE DETRIMENTAL MISTAKES BASED ON THEIR "INSTINCTS" AND DAILY MOOD

IT IS SO UNFAIR

AND HOW CAN WE BE FORCED TO ATTAIN ANSWERS AND INFORMATION FROM ALL THE WAY OVER HERE?

IT SURE DOES SHOW HOW EACH PERSON'S CASE IS HANDLED SO DIFFERENTLY AND THE OUTCOME AND DURATION OF THIS PROCESS IS SO UNCERTAIN

GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND THE REST OF US WHO ARE STILL WAITING ANXIOUSLY IN DARKNESS

I am so sorry to hear this negative outcome.

I would be up all night calling the embassy until you get through...do not rest until you get an engish speaking person on the phone and get an explanation of what happened exactly. It is your case and you have the right to know.

Fight them on this with everything you have....and don't stop!!
