We received our first NOA after filing our I-130 10 days later. We are not sure where to send the I-129F. It does not say anything specifically in the letter on where our forms are being processed. There is an address for the VSC on the bottom left side of the letter. Is the address we send the I-129F to? Or is there another letter that we should receive from USCIS that is more specific on where to send the I-129F to?

Thanks for any help.

Before you send the I-129F I'd look into doing a CR-1 solo.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

What exactly is the CR-1 Solo? According to the K3 Process Flowchart, it says after the approval of the I-130 my foreign spouse could apply for the CR-1 to immigrate immediately to the US, but it also says that this process may often take longer than simply entering on a K-3 and keep families apart for greater periods of time.

We just want to make sure that we send our I-129 paperwork to address on the bottom left of the the I-797C or not. We have checked our I-130 status on-line, and it also shows that it is being processed at the VSC. This website refers to an I-130 transfer letter that should indicate where to process your I-129, but I don't think we have received one of those letters.

What makes the CR-1 process better? Quicker? Cheaper? I don't see the benefit of it.

Form I-129F Filing Locations for K-3 Spouse

If you are filing an I-129F petition for your spouse, mail your petition to the Service Center where the underlying I-130 petition is currently pending. Use the address listed on your most recent receipt notice or transfer notice and include a copy of that notice with your Form I-129F.

K3 requires paying $1010 to do AOS. K3 AOS "can" take over a year. K3 doesn't get SSN until EAD or GC approval. K3 faces a chance of deportation at AOS interview. Slim but has happened!

CR-1 gets GC and SSN within short time of arrival. Can work and get drivers license right away.

At this time if one stays up on the I-130 paperwork at NVC the CR-1 visa takes only be a short time longer than the K3.

Lastly I'm still kicking myself in the butte for doing a K3!! :bonk:

I see, but she already worked and lived in the U.S. for 2 years, and she has a Social Security number. So were not worried about that delay, in fact we hope it will speed things up. We visited an immigration lawyer, although I think we left even more confused than before, and he suggested we do the K-3 route. But, I'll look into the CR-1 route as well.

I understand that. I've read that exact statement at least a hundred times, what it does not say, is where this is stated on the receipt notice for the I-130. Does this need to be stated on the receipt with a sentence that says something along the lines of, "your paperwork has been sent to "address X"" and so on? We don't see anything in our first NOA that states anything like this at all, it just list an address on the bottom left side of the letter. Is there not a picture of sample NOA letter that shows exactly what it should look like and where the address is?

If the case number begins with W, send to CSC. If it begins with E, sent it to VSC.

Having a SSN is NOT work authorization.... If she enters on a K-3 she will NOT be authorized to work until you receive an EAD card

YMMV
