I agree Jen.. even though I'm happy in my relationship right now, I'm not completely naive and understand that things happen. I think it takes a lot of courage to post here. I can't imagine whether or not I would remain here if my relationship were to fail. Being among all the posters/memories of trying so hard to be together may be too painful.

Maybe there's little response to the poll because the posters are already gone.

...which is why I said that probably means something right there.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Oh honey...I'm so sorry to hear that this is happening!

And completely understand what you mean by having to live with some one that has Narcissistic Personality Disorder . They lack empathy....they are cold to our feelings and refuse to feel shame.

Sadly my husband is the SAME.

My soon to be ex started with his flirting way before he moved here to the states from Canada. It was online flirting and it was totally inappropiate. It was the wrong way to start a relationship. Of course I didn't know about all this until After he moved in with me. And after we married it all came out.

It got worse and when I would try to make him accountable for his actions he would hit me, spit at me, drag me up and down the stairs, choke me and the list goes on.

I had the final straw last month and I called the cops on him. He was arrested and given a restraining order.

I filed for divorce on Friday and will ask for spousal support.

I will then ask that he get deported asap.

I wish we didn't have to go through this....it's heart breaking to say the least. I can only hope that things will get better since things ahve been bad for quite some time.

You don't deserve to be treated that way. He definately doesn't deserve you.

I hope you find peace and happines in your life very soon.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

For those of you who are in such perfect relationships that you can come on here and make light of, or make snide remarks about someone else's pain, let's just hope you never find yourselves in a position to need to begin a thread on this board.
Well, to be fair, if that were to happen, I wouldn't yap about it on here - or anywhere else on the internet.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

AK.. I dont think I would either... however what works for one person may not suit others. If the poster can get some support, help and comfort from people on this forum - so be it.

When I read these posts my thought is "there for the grace of god go I", none of us know where lifes turns will take us and our loved ones.

Oh, I agree. I definitely think people should do what they want. No argument from me (:
