Hey i just have one quick question. I was going to leave my job and go be with my fiance for the remainder of the wait until she got her K-1 visa. She's already been approved and everything, and i wanted to go to her and wait with her for the rest of the process but my job will only give me 2 weeks to go see her. My dad is going to be a co-sponsor on our affidavit of support for my fiance and he makes over 80k a year. we have money in our bank accounts and things and i was just wondering if anyone knows if i do this and quit my job if that would affect the outcome of my fiance's K-1 visa approval if my dad makes plenty of money. Can someon give me their opinion?

Would your employer be willing to hire you again upon your return to the United States?

STL_HCMC

yes but im going to put my two weeks in and totally quit that job, and go wait for the visa. Do you think that would be ok since my dad is a strong co sponsor?

Why not go for "the best of all possible worlds," and take the two weeks holiday, visit your fiancee, come back to your job, and ensure you continue your sponsorship? I'm not sure how your plan might be viewed, which is to quit working and let your co-sponsor become the main support. Why shift gears when you're so close to the finish line? You can visit her and keep everything running without a hitch. Have you asked about an unpaid leave of absence? Or a compassionate family leave? You might be able to take off longer (without pay) and still have a job to come back to.
