it all depends on what you have applied for. can you please tell us a bit about your application? also let us know when and where you filed your application(s) and when you got the approval.

so what visa do you want to end up with? K-3 or IR1/CR1

Our CR1 was approved first but we waited for the K3. We are persuing the K3.

I don't get it. Your timeline says you applied for your I-130 in July 2008. Only 3 months later you got an approval for your I-130???

And why would you go with K-3 if you have an I-130? The I-130 is the stronger one.
