So the interview went fine a month ago and we were told 3-5 days to get the passport back. However its been nearly a month and no word. The london embassy also isn't returning our emails which seems ominous. I just went to the congressman's office and they've sent them an email so i'll find out tomorrow i guess??

Seems to be what they are doing you think everything is okay then they say your case is being reviewed and then you are told it is under AP hope this isnt what is happening with you good luck I think when it is under review if they dont get a response from the security checks within a month then they put it under AP

Well this will be really bad.....we thought when it was approved and they said no additional processing was needed you'll get it in 3-5 days we assumed at the point it was done and dusted and flights were booked.........how could this happen her name didnt strike a hit before at NVC why would it now?

That is very unusual for London. If they say you are approved the visa comes in a matter of days. Ring the DOS number in Washington 202 663 1225 and ask them to tell you the current status. They can see on the computer what London are doing.

There have been delays before however they are very rare, but also the courier has been know to attempt to deliver, there be no-one in and they haven't left the card for you to rearrange delivery. Can you contact the courier to see if that is the case.

What to expect at the POE - WIKI entry

If the DOS line says no AP then you're good. The congressman will probably get them on the ball, but I would count on a few days, not tomorrow. . .consulates don't fix anything that fast (unless you are VERY lucky.)

Ya this is AP - AP is ANYTHING and EVERYTHING between interview and visa issuance. They call printing the passport "AP" so dont feel bad urs is not the same kind as mine and u wont be stuck over a year

London will get you through this fast - so maybe a week or two, you should get the visa very soon.

God bless,

Tam

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

Well I checked with DOS today and it has been issued....I told my fiancee and instead of being happy she's scared because its final and we're set to go....she may want to back out. We've been together for 3 years (though 1 apart thanks to USCIS errors etc.) and I'm now eying my Weber on the front porch....I think it might be better in the bathroom with the doors and windows taped shut.

Lancer, I just saw this....I am sorry that things are a bit uncertain and really hope you and your fiancee have worked this out by now. The UK - US move is a big scary deal for many, so maybe she'll settle down (or already has by now). I saw you were on VJ yesterday, so know you haven't done anything rash with that Weber of yours. You guys have had a long bumpy ride for this visa and I truly hope it wasn't all for naught. Chin up.
