Hello! I need help from anyone who had an experience with my topics. I filed I-130 and 129F petitions with VSC on July 9, 2008 and August 5.2008 for my husband. The cases are still pending with VSC. My husband is going to leave his country and move to another country because of the personal circumstances and wanted to ask the asylim/refugee status there. I am wondering if he will be eligible for a CR status in USA and will be able to get an interview in the country where hi is going to stay. What should I do in that case. I am stressed and do not know what is the next step. Should I withdraw the I-129F because he cannot continue the visa process in the Consulate where hi is now, or just wait until approval of the I-130 and inform the NVS about his change address. Please advise and thank you for all you hepl.

For the most part, K-3 can be interviewed at consulate located in country of residence, or where marriage took place. CR-1 tends to be interviewed at consulate located in country of Citizenship.

DO NOT try withdrawing the I-129F, they are linked, and one will affect the other.

Contact DOS Visa services about this after USCIS approves.
