True. I guess it goes, upon the original stereotyping of conservative vs. liberal, if you don't fit in their categories, as in, if you're an individual, no need to get offended. Often times I get called a liberal, and could easily associate myself with one, but when people ####### on "liberals" I don't really care.

I completely agree, I could be labled as a liberal, but I don't fit into any category, and what people say about it really doesn't bother me.

You nor I, nor anyone else in this or any other thread are going to change anyone's mind about what they believe in.

I do however, like to hear differing views. I find it interesting.

As long as I'm respectful of someone else's views, I haven't had any trouble with insults.

Perhaps it's the way those views are expressed that is the problem.

I am not saying you are the problem but there are people here who camp out, with obviously little else to do in their life, and look for threads like these to attack. There are many threads that Steven, AJ, Six etc create that I do not agree with, and think are stupid, so I simply do not post in them. Rather than go post ####### about how dumb and stupid they are. What many here fail to realize is that thinking one is stupid works both ways. Also, the OT section would not be a friendly place if conservatives took the same approach and camped out to attack every single left wing thread.

Right wing views are not a minority in this country or this world for that matter. Far from it actually. When you think about it, most non westernized nations are quite conservative. So either the 50 million liberals in America are stupid, or everyone else is stupid.

I know that there are people you don't get along with, it's very apparent. I like you and I like all of them (I don't have to choose so THERE )

I'm only saying that you allow it to happen by letting it get to you.

Actually this is becoming an issue in America. Not to my surprise, the same clowns that tend to do the exact same thing here in OT are brushing this off. This country was founded on freedom to express political views. Yes the actual definition of the first amendment. Yet there is a growing trend by those with left wing views in trying to silence anyone with opposing views. Yes, this is another one of those apparently "isolated incidents".

We had political disagreements back home but we never silenced or thought we were better and smarter than those with differing views. Definitely not the case here.

This forum isn't "America". The real folks doing the "silencing" are the ones using fear and violence to achieve their goals. A few college students doesn't amount to a wholesale silencing of views.

BY, I think a lot of your posts would be better received if you displayed even a slight sense of humor and kinship w/ others. As it is, the majority of your posts come off as desperate, whiny digs at specific posters, or else comically simplistic viewpoints about entire communities (indeed continents).

I have to admit, I love Kaydee. Our stated political viewpoints are quite different, but I appreciate his approach. A lot of his posts and threads are absurd and often (I think) self-mocking, he has a nice turn of phrase, and his curmudgeonly sarcasm is consistently funny.
