I'm am so sorry to hear that Laura. I think Karvy02 is right on the money. Life happens while we're waiting for this process to be completed and as long as you can get a back-up plan together you will be fine. It may not even be an issue if you are approved without an interview, fingers crossed.

Not that it helps but it is happening lots of places and it is quite scary thinking your job is fine and then you walk in one day and your laid off. My sister's work just laid off about 15 people after telling them 2 weeks prior that they were restructuring and that it would not be based off performance or seniority. My husband's work also just laid off a large number of people.
