Everything approved but waiting for interview date

I applied for the K-3 visa for my wife, who's in Bangladesh, which has been approved. She received notification to deliver the DS156 forms whcih she did in person in July. However, the embassy apparently did not receive the documents. She re-submitted in Sept and am still waiting for interview date. I sent email to the embassy requesting confirmation of documents but no responses.

Anyone have any idea how long it usually takes for the interview date to be set after the DS156 forms are submitted?

Anyone have any idea what the cause of the delay could be?

Has anyone had trouble recevieing responses from embassies via email?

Just looking for some advice and understanding on what I should do now. I;m concerned that they may have lost it again and there's no way of me knowing.

We had a similar situation and the emails are good way to communicate instead of phone (depends which Consulate its going thru, ours was New Delhi and Bombay Consulate). I emailed them regarding a interview date and they responded in 4-5 days. It depends how much traffic they have with visa cases. Make sure its the right people you are emailing (lol). Keep them in the loop with status, call them, go to the consulate office if you (he/she) can (Best way!!!)
