Just finished the debates.

We need to get together for the next debate!!! Or a victory party :)

I don't know Perseverance, I've been called snarky and b!tchy on here lately

But yeah we can agree to disagree.

Can we coin a "wink" as a phrase?

Oh I like snarky

Oooh...snarky is good.

Stevi, can we use snarky?

jundp...you? B!tchy?

Snarky is good, sometimes. And Zee, yeah, I've definitely been called that on more than one occasion for refusing to rise to the bait of Virtual Wife. Also because I like to mock those who call me a sheep because I like Obama.

Whidbey Girl...I don't think anyone is bashing you at all. The Sub-Saharan girls are pretty awesome here. Just that most of the poster in here, I think, are not big Republicans. It's not a race thing, it's a party thing. (In my opinion, and I could be wrong). I'm not black, but I don't support McCain, and I've never worried about popping in here from time to time to stick my nose in, because I've always felt welcomed here.

Ach. I need to go grade papers!

I am nearly 100% positive EVERYONE has certain phrases that they always say, and people around us are tired of hearing the same old same old, so why bad mouth someone for it just because they are in the media spotlight.

Sarah is finally a "real" person instead of a elitist politican.

Someone that those of us who weren't born into priviledge can understand and connect with.

She understands what it means to live paycheck to paycheck and maybe sometimes wonder where the next meal is coming from.

Someone who understands what it's like to be a mom of a special needs child, she knows the struggles the rest of us moms in the same situation.

She knows what it's like to walk into a Children's Hospital and feel blessed because she will get to take her child home when other moms will lose their child within those walls.

She values human life and stands up for the true definition of marriage.

Finally someone I respect and admire is going to be in a position of influence.

you have just described MEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

nice to know you respect and admire me and feel I'm going to be good in a position of influence :star:

WG you are entitled to your opinion as we are ours....I dont know how many comrades you will find here in Sub Saharan in regards to your political preference....BUT if you go out to OT there are PLENTY of Obama bashers out there....

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion!!! I don't wish to bash anyone. I only raise questions and make comments that hold true to me, I don't attack people because they believe someone they identify with and respect would do well in office.

So why is it that I won't find comrades here? Are you suggesting because the majority of people from Sub Saharan are black that they automatically will vote for Obama? And that if they are in other areas of the forum they typically aren't black so they will vote McCain? That seems a bit racist to me.

MMM tread lightly with the comments, mine had nothing to do with race, simply that many of us in here are Obama supporters. Really you are reading way too much into comments, many made in jest.

OK, maybe am reading more into things. I just know of people who are voting (both ways) soley based on skin color.

I asked earlier and no one cared to answer:

What will you do when McCain/Palin win this election?

Here's another:

Since we know that voter registrations have soared since the nominations, it's VERY possible that the popular vote will not reflect the electoral vote. The REAL time to vote was at the caucases and primaries, the popular vote for president is really NOTHING in November. SO, my question is extended, what will you do when McCain/Palin are voted into office by the electoral votes but the popular vote is for Obama/Biden?

Well, it already happened 8 YEARS AGO (popular vs. electoral votes). And the answer is self-explanatory. We will be in deeper SH*T than we are in now.

I will do what I did when Bush won the electoral vote over Gore. I will continue on as I have before. I will continue to lobby and call my representatives about things that matter to me, such as repealing the death penalty and fighting for us to intervene in Sudan and pushing for environmentally-sound initiatives. I can't control who wins an election, I can only do my part by voting and attending rallies with like-minded voters. I won't turn my back on my country should McCain win. But I will not support him, Sarah Palin, or another 4 years like the last 8, so I'll fight and do what I can as a citizen. It's my right and my duty.
