I am nearly 100% positive EVERYONE has certain phrases that they always say, and people around us are tired of hearing the same old same old, so why bad mouth someone for it just because they are in the media spotlight.

Sarah is finally a "real" person instead of a elitist politican. Someone that those of us who weren't born into priviledge can understand and connect with. She understands what it means to live paycheck to paycheck and maybe sometimes wonder where the next meal is coming from. Someone who understands what it's like to be a mom of a special needs child, she knows the struggles the rest of us moms in the same situation. She knows what it's like to walk into a Children's Hospital and feel blessed because she will get to take her child home when other moms will lose their child within those walls. She values human life and stands up for the true definition of marriage. Finally someone I respect and admire is going to be in a position of influence.

No offense, but can you ACTUALLY see this woman being the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES? come on now......puuleeease.

and I did forget "Maverick" :)

I don't have anything against Palin personally, but no way in hell do I want a person a heartbeat away from running my country who hasn't the slightest idea about foreign policy or trade....or environmental issues.

I'm a soccer mom, with a couple of degrees, and I'm super-cute, but I wouldn't expect to be VP or Pres. She isn't real at all. She exploits her daughter for the sake of "pro life" (I am, btw, very pro-life all around). How can you promote 'abstinence' when it clearly didn't work for your 17 year old?!

Anyway, I just bad mouthed in your sub-Saharan McCainPalinism thread. Sorry :(

But how real is "real"?

I believe I already answered that

You didn't get my tongue in cheek joke...you put real in quotes which makes me think she ain't as real as she portrays herself ;)

I guess because I have not experienced much of what you said above I may not get it.

Just finished the debates. As there are differences here there are differences

all around America with some saying that McCain hit a home run, while others

saying that Obama was the one that hit it out the park. Me being a first

round delegate for Obama, and faithful watcher of the debates have a oppinion

that Obama indeed did win this debate.

I believe that he stayed true to himself by not bashing McCain on any one

issue. Palin isn't even a piece of this presidential puzzle except McCain

become unable to preform. At which she wouldn't qualify for president

of the USA in my mind. Actually I'd be really scared for Americans being

that she doesen't really know policy. But she does know how to keep her

work out appointments. ( Which I'm jealous of....lol ) We don't need cute

running our Country if something was to happen to McCain, frankly I feel

as tho McCain may of thought he wasen't gonna win which was why he

choose such an unqualified person to be his running mate.

WG you are entitled to your opinion as we are ours....I dont know how many comrades you will find here in Sub Saharan in regards to your political preference....BUT if you go out to OT there are PLENTY of Obama bashers out there....

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion!!! I don't wish to bash anyone. I only raise questions and make comments that hold true to me, I don't attack people because they believe someone they identify with and respect would do well in office.

So why is it that I won't find comrades here? Are you suggesting because the majority of people from Sub Saharan are black that they automatically will vote for Obama? And that if they are in other areas of the forum they typically aren't black so they will vote McCain? That seems a bit racist to me.

She is saying that because those of us who happen to be vocal in the subbies forum are Obama fans, at least those of us who have made our preferences known so far. There was a conversation a while back in the cyber cafe about LL going to an Obama rally and we were all like "no fair!".

It has nothing to do with race.

MMM tread lightly with the comments, mine had nothing to do with race, simply that many of us in here are Obama supporters. Really you are reading way too much into comments, many made in jest.
