This debate is not changing anything. Which is good news.

If anything it really should. McCain doesn't come over well at all - and it doesn't seem as though he has any real ideas.

Totally agree.

I left the room as well, i couldnt handle hearing McCain anymore either. :dead:

As I said, it doesn't change anything. McSame is going to continue to slide in the polls.

I think this confirms who I will be supporting. While I like McCain, Obama is the better candidate. He is a smart guy and he gets it.

McCain is stuck in the Regan years. Wrong era my friend. China was a nobody back then. Now China owns our ###, literally..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I choose to grade papers with this as background noise. But the voices are annoying me. Clearly not in the mind frame to watch a presidential debate!

Seriously I'm really shocked - this man has been in government for 30-odd years.

This may not be his sort of venue - but surely he has more than this to justify his pedigree...

McCain is a good senator. He is just no what America needs at the moment as a President. He would have been a good vice president. Probably better than Biden.

I nearly threw up when I heard how much the American government owes in debt. icon8.gif

These debt figures do not even include the cost of medicare or social security. They are not counted..

Actually, this is supposedly his preferred sort of venue. Remember that McSame wanted to have dozens of town hall type appearances with obama over the course of the campaign? Even though this was hardly a true town hall format, he certainly disappointed today. But then, he came in on the evening of Wall Street taking another major hit and the fifth hit in a row. That is no good news for Republicans this close to an election and he knows it.

A "Zen-like" question.

Hahaha!

That was good, except too bad they didn't answer it.

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You will do foolish things.

Do them with enthusiasm!!

Don't just do something. Sit there.

No disagreement there - I'm just surprised that someone who has referred to his campaign as the Straight Talk Express, didn't really have any Straight Talk to offer people.

I had to laugh at his response to the question about "how do we juggle healthcare, social security, medicaid etc" - and he said how its unamerican to not do them all at once. Seriously - why didn't he just be honest and say we're going to have to prioritise?

Yeah, that was a very weak response displaying very little leadership. If you can't look the electorate into the eyes and tell them that we can't have it all at once, then you're having issues. As for the Straight Talk Express, it has run out of gas a long time ago.

I think cause he wanted to one-up Obama. Obama listed how he would tackle those issues, so of course McCain tried to make him look foolish.

I can't fool myself into thinking McCain cares about 'the American people', not really. He doesn't sound sincere. Barack lacks a certain enthusiasm for the challenge, but I can at least fool myself into thinking that he cares, even if it's only on an intellectual level.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
