why is that so hard to get a social security number? almost a month since i applied for ssn and then they kleep telling me to call the ins coz in there program its still my single name... and now everytime you try to set a appoinment by infopass seems like you are playing a lotto you trying to win and have a luck.... im so disappointed i tired so hard to make all my documents get as soon as possible ..i have my permanent, working , and travel ...fk i cant even have a social security ...... :angry::crying:

If you applied in your married name and your status verifies in your maiden name that is not a problem and the application can be processed. If that is the case I would ask to speak with the office manager.

did you show them (SSA) your marriage certificate/license? when I applied for SSN the guy told me that it should be in my maiden name, and I need to go back once I get my green card so they can change it to my married name. I was not convinced, so I told him that I'm married now, showed him my marriage license and I asked him what happens when I start working : should I still use my maiden name ? shouldn't I use my married name already since I am already married? that made him change his mind, and he processed my SSN under my married name.

Oct 14, 2008---EAD1 CARD ARRIVES! Approval date is Oct. 2, 2008

Dec 10, 2008---INTERVIEW DAY! APPROVED!!!

Dec 17, 2008---WELCOME NOTICE RECEIVED

Jan 9, 2009---CARD RECEIVED FINALLY! Approval date 12-10-08..expires on 12-10-10

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS

Sept 10,2010---REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS

CITIZENSHIP

Sept 10,2011---Application for citizenship

Aug 12.....received RFE notice

Aug 13...Biometrics Appointment

August 19...RFE received, case resumed processing
Oct. 8.........EAD Card production ordered

Oct. 16.......EAD Approval noticed mailed
Oct. 18........EAD in hand (came in mail)
Nov 3.........Interview Notice received in mail
Dec 4.........Interview APPROVED, CRIS email: card production ordered
Dec 9.........Welcome noticed received in mail Dec 9.........card production ordered
Dec 14.......Received greencard in mail
