I need your help!

I became Citizen Sept 26th and I called CSC Sept 28 to upgrade my petition to my husband. When i called CSC they said to wait for 45 days and they will send me a letter regarding the upgrade. Then they also said to send a letter to NVC with the copy of the certificate and petition receipt. But as i was browsing this forum, i've seen that I should have sent the copy to CSC not to NVC now i am confuse. Please help. Should i send the letter and copies to CSC, wont they get tired of my requests because i called and they said that the request was already entered?

So sorry for being hard headed but i know you understnad how i feel.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I became a US Citizen on Nov 12, 2008. I got married 4 years ago and filed I130 back then. Currently I130 is approved and in NVC. I sent my certificate of naturalization with a short letter in Nov 12 via email. 2 days later no response. Please let me know what timetable should I be looking for? When to expect any response from NVC and when can I fill AOS? When can my husband expect an interview?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Knik

i would suggest to mail your letter to NVC as well with the copy of your certificate of naturalization and NO2.

I emailed and snail mail the same day my request to NVC. It took a week before they replied via email and another week before i received their reply via snail mail.

Once you received a confirmation about your request, visa will immediately be available. Then Choice of Agent and AOS fee will be generated. I suggest you call NVC reqarding the status of your request, just to make sure that they received it.

Good luck.

Hi good morning! I'm a new member in this forum, but I have been reading your case for a while. Congratulations!!!

I have a question, I'm a LPR and I petitioned my wife from the Philippines I-130. First I received the NOA1, that was really quick, Then yesterday I received an email saying that they sent me a letter notifying that they already approved the petition. I belive this will be the NOA2. What would be the next step for me? How will the AOS and DS3032 be generated? Please also keep in mind that im not a US citizen but only a Greencard.

If anyone can enlighten me. please reply asap. Thank you much in advance!

I'm curious when did you start applying I-130? Just this year or last year?? And what exactly was stated on your NOA2 via email?

Wow, your I-130 waiting period was quick, though i heard or read somewhere that USCIS' processing system improved recently, I wasn't so sure until i heard your case got approved in just 2 years! I wasn't expecting that quick, really good for you, you and your spouse are very blessed. Many of us couples, especially those who applied few years before you, had to wait and endure ~5 years; had to undergo a lot of painstaking issues with USCIS in updating us for any developments of our applications; asking US senate and congress for help to no avail, joining I-130 groups to spread awareness of the long wait. We hope, if not for us, it is paying off for future applicants/petitioners, so they never experience the same way we did.

Anyway, re: your question, yes my wife got her 1st NVC postal letter about a month after we got her NOA2 from USCIS as you can see what I put down in my timeline. It tells you what her NVC case number is, the rest of the letter is nothing but a reminder that visa is not yet available (unless again your case is different). Your case is F2A (family-based petition) right? And it's not a joint-in application (i.e., you included your wife in the application when you applied for your greencard)? If it is F2A like most of us, here's the visa bulletin webpage http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin...letin_4512.html This site will tell you what's the current visa availability for Philippines and the rest of the countries.

Now that your case is in NVC, I worry less about NVC than USCIS, for me NVC is more efficient from hereon. I would try emailing them to inform them of your wife's new email address at nvcinquiry@state.gov and they will respond accordingly (unlike USCIS). In order to ensure a prompt response:

- Enter your USCIS case number in the Subject Line of the e-mail.

- Include the applicant's name and date of birth, and the petitioner's name and date of birth in the body of the e-mail.

- If the petition is employment-based, include the company/organization name.

If you are here in the US, you can call NVC at 1-603-334-0700 and look for a customer rep, they will ask you your current contact phone and email without you even initiating, that's the time you can inform them of your wife's new email address... or probably one of the buttons will lead you to change contact info. God bless!
