I was wondering how you tell if you are "touched"? Does it show up on the case status online thing? I was reading and it said they'll only put something if they made a decision or want something from you. Also does anyone know about the emergency situation thing where you can get yours processed faster? My mom has an incurable form of lung cancer. Not sure if that would apply to emergency situation or not. I wanted to get married before she dies and stuff =s

unless it is an emergent situation applies directly to the petitioner, the chances are fairly slim... no harm in requesting though.

YMMV

Well I am the USC. Do you think I should try? I mean she wasn't given a time frame on when she's going to die or anything but it is a deadly disease.

No harm attempting, but this is a situation indirect to you. Just don't get your hopes up.

Hi,

When you check your case status online, you'll see a column that's titled "Last Updated". Look closely at the date that you see in the column. If the date displayed is more recent than the USCIS received your application (NOA1), then the date you see is a touch.

Hope that helps.

Oh okay. I misunderstood that. Do you know of any place to email to ask or should I just try it?

You try it and they tell you yes or no. You asked here. That's the answer you got.
