Well both sides are most likely guilty of that. Its just about where the line is drawn with standards and the reality of historical context. While one side is avidly working to redefine logic so as to avert what should be an obvious loss, the other isn't doing much to bring out more realities into the mainstream for fear of alienating more voters thanks in no part to opposition fear tactics.

Sure, if that "Black Privilege" meant continuing the historical pattern of maintaining long-established racial and economical disparities. I don't know about being accused of the above examples you state but I do know that many are often unrepresentative of what this 'privilege' really stands for- equalizing conditions.

I guess that covers the "reverse racism" item on the checklist doesn't it?

If anyone believes a Pres. Obama will do anything to change realities for most black Americans, please stand and be counted.

His background has little to do with the historic experience for most black Americans. The fact he and his wife went to Ivy League colleges doesn't translate into it suddenly being cool for black kids to exceed in academics.

The reality is the black middle class was able to take advantage of a more racially tolerate country where civl rights laws were enforced. The black economic underclass (or any other underclass) invokes the privilege of doing little for themselves besides dropping out of school and blaming the majority for their fate. How exactly can this country change things for people who gave up on the system at age 16 or 17 and expect things to turn around?
