I'm confused. Are you guys waiting for an interview date, or a date to drop off your DS230, or a date of when the DS-230 was logged as receieved?

You should check out the yardies with case complete thread, so that you can get a better idea of how long this all takes: Click here

My ds230 has been received and logged, so I am just waiting for the interview date. All we have left is to wait for the embassy to set the date and send my fiance packet four. I will check out that thread, though. I kinda ignored it because I thought it was just for cr1 filers...

oh ok. No that thread is for all JA filers. It gives everyone a good idea in the time difference for waiting for an interview. Enter your date the DS230 was logged and I'll add your time line to the list.

YIPPEE! I just called the DOS and his interview has been scheduled for November 14th! I will be able to go because I can still fly by then! He will be here for the birth of our baby!

Hi Acrow, you must have the magic touch. Our interview date is set for November 12th. I can't believe we are almost there. By the way congrats on getting your date also and how are you doing? Take it easy and pamper yourself whenever you can.

Hi Guys, I have a similar question regarding an interview date at the Embassy in Jamaica. My approval letter said it expires on 12/19/08. I have express mailed the DS230 to the embassy and emailed them to scheduled an interview date, but have not heard from them yet. If there is a 3 month wait on dates, what am I going to do when my approval letter expires? Any ideas on how to speak to a live person at the Embassy?

Hey Girl,

I doubt your letter will expire before you get an interview date. I think you'll be fine even if it goes past the expiry date. When did you send the DS-230?

My fiance sent it via Air Pak on Oct. 3rd, Friday and they guaranteed it will be received by 5 p.m. that evening. Thanks for your reply.

Okay. It has to be logged in their system. Send them another e-mail again on Friday or Monday and this time put "2nd Request in the subject line" of the e-mail to the embassy. If the DS-230 is not logged they can't scheduled an interview.

I just received my NOA2 ON Oct 26 and all it says is that it is approved and to contact the consulate for visa issuance.

Please help!

You are to wait for the beneficiary to get packet sent to them in mail. This will be the DS230. You can fill it out ahead of time and send it in to the embassy via mail or drop off, but not until they request it from you.

I waited about a week then I called 202-663-1225 to find out if they send it to Kingston yet and they said the system showed that they mailed us packet 3 and waiting for infromation from us. We still have not received packet 3. I filled out Ds-230 part 1 and emailed it to my SO and had him sign it and then I emailed the embassy ask for an appt to drop it off.

We reveived packet 4 yesterday but we still have not received packet 3.
