Electornic DS-156

well I received my package 3 and they sent me regular forms in the package which is DS-156 in duplicate

and DS-157

But when I went to the CIB bank to pay 100$ as they asked in the package they gave me a paper asking me to log to US embassy website in Cairo and fill it online electronically which they called electronic form of visa..

but now i feel lost what shall I do fil it by hand writting or fill it online my husband think i must fill it online which i did ?? do you think i should do both?

If you are confident you have the correct package, then you must follow the guidelines that the embassy give you.

If you are in any doubt, contact the embassy. Perhaps there is a K3 applying through Cairo that can give some advice here???

i did call the embassy today ..but they were not helpful at all , tomorrow I should receive my medical and send my package and this electronic filling thing is confusing me I am thiking to send them both electronic and hand wrttien forms what do you think????

I just checked my papers. I used the electronic form. It is definately the way to go, it collects all of your data in the barcode, so that the embassy can load your information onto their system quickly. It defeats the object of the form if you also send in a hand written copy. Just follow the instructions for completing the form, and it will also tell you what to do to generate the barcode before printing.

You will be fine. It's nothing to worry about.

I did the electronic forms and generated the code but you know what confused me I thought in the space where it says "BAR CODE" they will add our case number with the code that's what confused me but since you had the same thing " since you are going by K3 too" I really thought the elctronic forms were created for other kinds of visa like visitors visa ..cases that don't have case number you know what i mean..That's what confused me ..now I feel better that you told me you also went through the elctronic forms but I wanna ask you a question did fill the DS-157 because they asked me to do I thought it's only for males!!!

Also in your package the embassy sent you "package 3"did you have the application of DS-156 there in duplicae with the Ds157?
