Hi,

I am only able to get certified copies of my birth certificate and previous marriage certificate do you think that will be sufficient for my interview. Also my divorce cerficate is on a piece of paper stamped by the court..it does look like a certificate just a piece of paper. I have called the solicitor that i went through and they only have the same as i do. The court said that they do not keep records from so long ago. Do you think that this will all be ok for the interview?

Certified copies are all one will ever get. There is only one original and that is kept on file at the relevent departments. Remember too, take a photo copy of the certified documents as that is the requirement now. If they wish you to send the certified copy they will ask for but this doesnt seem to happen often at all.

note: when you see reference to originals when it comes to marriage and birth certificates etc it is referring to a certified copy.

In my fiancee's packet 3, it says that my fiancee, her son, and myself all need one original and one certified copy of our birth certificates. I only have the Certified copy that I ordered. Any Advice?

 lol thats got me beat as when you apply for them you can only get certified copies of originals. Are you sure it says that. Usually they require one original/certified copy and a photocopy. Check with others going through Vietnam.

I would also like to edit my original post within this post, now that I realise we are talking interview and not filing of the petition.....I seriously have to go to bed.
