Hello all,

I am wondering what to put down for my fiancee's addresses... should it be the places she has actually lived, or the places that she was registered by the Russian government? There are problems with both, as she has had some gaps in her registration in the past five years, and has needed to change apartments many times. If it's actually where she lived, how important is it to list every single address (and if it's important, can we attach additional sheets?)? Does the address have to be complete, or can it be approximate if she can't remember the specifics? Also, I assume I disregard the line that says asks for her address outside of the U.S., since all her addresses are outside?

I am also curious about what to put for my addresses. Should I put down everything, no matter how temporary? For example, I lived in Moscow for 2 months last summer, and I studied there the year before for 5 months. Do those count?

Sorry for so many questions! I am just really afraid of messing anything up. Thank you everyone for all the great advice available here!

Im not sure on using government registered addresses as Im not familiar with that and what the difference would be. Just dont leave any gaps in the timeframe as there has been RFE's for such. Yes you can use a supplimentary sheet. Just make note of it on the actual form to see supplement. Put as much address info as is known.

As for the Q on address outside of the US of more then one year, it is whatever address regardless of when. If its the current one then that is what is put. If its one from years ago then that address is written there.

You only need to list addresses that were actual residences....where you received mail, bills etc.

zhenik,

I'm inclined to say that one should tell where they've been living (not visiting) rather than where they might be registered with their government. I think the US government is more interested in where people have been residing than in the intricacies of different governements' registration systems.
