when should be the best time to pay the DV to try not to delay everything? does paying it earlier helps prevent delay?

Im not sure there is a best time to pay, if any I would say earlier is always better than later. But in our case we paid like maybe 10 days prior to the interview and ours was completed and my wife had her visa delivered two days after her interview. so I dont really know if there is a best time. Hasnt there been talk that they have suspended DV for the immediate future?

CLick on the K1 visa requirements at the bottom of the page. Read thru it, and if you will notice the document verification is not mentioned. They recently (October 2008) updated the list of requirements. It seems they decided to remove it and ask for CENOMAR instead. You can call the embassy for confirmation. 301-2000, press 8 for operator, ask to be transferred to immigration Visa unit. better if your petitioner will call.

Last month when they still ask for our DV it takes 3-6 weeks for NSO to release it, and most of the people on the above list are still waiting for their DV to be released.

I doubt if DV still applies for you though.

Hi, I checked the link you gave,although it's true that you wont find the DV on that link,you might try to click on the DOCUMENTATION and you will find out that they didnt remove yet the Document Verification requirement.

Sometimes we need to check and read thoroughly before we post something to avoid confusions.

ManilaIdaho, thanks for pointing it out. if you will look on date below the page it is still dated 4/16/2008. It is easier to update the pdf file (October 2008) thatn the whole Webpage, i guess. That's why I suggest for the other applicants to call embassy to verify things. Thank you for stressing that idea so people will call the people in charge rather than rely on what people say here.
