Yeah, they said 2-4 weeks. We'll be calling every week again for updates and to remind them we are waiting. If only my hands could go thru the phone, i would have stamped their foreheads with our case numbers hahaha.

twilight, it's a worth of try. When my fiance heard they have our DV he forgot to ask about CENOMAR (the reason why he called in first place ) you can inquire tom since it's late already. We will call again next week. it costs a lot to make the call (recession).

Aug 19 - paid DV, Aug 20 - Delbros forwarded my DV to NSO, Sept 4- US Embassy Manila interview, Today (October 7) - NSO confirmed my docs for DV is still with them.

Like everyone else here, I'm so stressed...Been losing weight, lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks, sleepless nights because of frequent fights with husband, falling hair----real signs of stress and depression...

Thanks to everyone here who keeps us inspired...

It just proves that our docs have been piling up at NSO, a Philippine government agency, and US Embassy didn't see the process effective, efficient and helpful at all...

Thank goodness..It took so many petitioners and beneficiaries too much suffering before they realize...Duh!

What's this?

"K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B applicants will normally have their documents verified at the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy Manila can issue the visa. The cost of the document verification is PhP 650 per applicant."

Looks like document verification (DV) was scrapped for the K-1 non immigrant but kept for the CR-1 immigrant visa.

They have not updated their website yet that's why it's still there. If you'll see at the bottom of the page it's dated 04/30/2008. And if you go to the page for Immigrant Visa Appointments and click on all Immigrant/K visa package/instructions they had it updated for October 2008. I guess it is easier to revise the pdf file than the whole website. I dunno? just my analyzation. Future applicants should call to verify. If they did remove Document verification the next applicants are lucky.

I think im not gonna worry about whether or not DV is still on for the next batch of applicants. I can suggest they call in USEM for exact instructions. Better do that than be sorry.
