DV paid in AUGUST, Visa pending as of OCTOBER 7

Hi everyone! I am new and I saw this post and decided to join, MY VISA IS ALSO PENDING. DV paid Aug 26th interview done Sept 4, pink and white slip, visa is not yet delivered and no news whatsoever. Can you add me to this update? Thanks!

when my Mahal last talked to Lorraine she told Lorraine to give her a call this coming monday, to check about our SON case, i then told Alex, well what she gonna tell u this monday again " that u need to call her back next year" oh boy sound its getting true. i guess i will start putting up our xmas tree and xmas decoration now. i already have my visa but they cannot release it now cuz i need to wait for my son visa before they will release it together. do u think my son case will be still including at backlogs? or will take long

Honestly I find your case weird as they have no reason to hold your visa. They should at least in good faith release your visa as they claim it to be finished. It's quite obvious that you will not leave your son behind. This way it's one visa down and one more to go. Hope everything goes well in your case and everyone else's case including mine.

yeah this people work in USEM just got a low common sense, the reason they didnt found my son case during our interview. it was just a shocked on me that Lorraine will telling us that my son papers is missing. that after my interview i fixed everything and went back home with the thought that they already found my son papers and will be forwarded to our co. i was just what happened during that day ? why right now Lorraine told us that my son papers is missing, look like it was just place in the corner after i clarify that his papers is already at there office. they are not doing their job well, they are so careless in all the things they do. we will try to call this monday again and see what Lorraine will gonna say, this is not my fault anymore, since i was there to correcy and verify that my son papers was been forwarded sept 9 at there office.

i know this is so sad, i feel i cannot trust those people who works there, but we all here have no power to do things we wanna do for them, let just keep praying and pray that may the LORD will guide them all to make our case fairly be process. i wish for all of us that soon we may hear the good news we been waiting for.

I can't believe it guys! As of October 2008 Manila USEmbassy scrapped out document verification from the list of requirements. Instead you just present the CENOMAR. Here is the link: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf

us embassy staffs are kinda incompetent or they are not just updated, i was asked for 2 document verifications but when i called grace she didn't know that i needed 2 dv, she didn't even know when i paid my 2nd dv even i submitted the receipt at the releasing officer. if i didn't call her and informed her about this, my visa might be waiting for nothing.

i'm trying so hard to understand their situation knowing how many applicants they are handling.

just like most of you guys, i'm just entertaining myself and put it in God's hands. patience is a virtue.

and yes, on the newly revised visa process, there is no dv stated. how sad for us. i hope they will implement this in our case, this is not our fault that we are undergoing dv.

hI shine! I think USE now realized the incompetency of NSO and trouble of having DV coz now they took it out from the list of requirements. I really hope they will issue our visa ASAP since they scrapped out DV. i'll update the list at the end of the day.

On this link http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html , where the Immigrant and K Visa Applicant Appointment Package/Instructions, specifically Fiance(e) (K1/K2) Visa Applicants’ Interview Preparation Instructions (English) is posted... as of October 2008... they wiped out the portion about document verification.

BUT on this link http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3219.html , it states "Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified."

Both links came from USEM official website so whether or not DV is removed, we dont know. As for applicants who were interviewed before October 2008, most of us submitted CENOMAR and BC issued by NSO and printed on NSO security paper. I was asked to provide those on the initial interview (by the pre-screener). And still they have us go thru DV. Their reason is there are a lot counterfeit BC and CENOMAR going around.

My fiance just called the USE hotline, coz I was being hysterical about them scrapping the DV, and Grace got his call. At first Grace was making this excuse that her computer right now is down, and she cannot check our papers. Good thing my fiance is a smooth talker (reason i fell for him lol), so after kissing Grace's ### (figuratively speaking ) her computer miraculosly was fixed. She told my fiance that she has good news for us. They have our DV as of this Tuesday (upon hearing this my affect changed from pissed to being ecstatic) BUT, (yup i was pulled from the cloud 9) we have to wait another 2-4 weeks because of backlogs. hayyyy.......(my balloon popped out ) Grace said that there are indeed new sets of CO's, and there are so many applicants now, before they held interview only in morning but now they entertain applicants up to afternoon. I suggest call the hotline and ask for updates, call center are useless and waste of money. Grace and Lorraine have access to our papers. If they make excuses, try begging, pleading, say wonderful and flattering words to their ears, whatever you can think of to get updates.

Soon we will have our visa!

Rose, I think the latest link (3238) they posted is the most updated and recent one than the 2nd one (3219). Sad that we have to be a victim of NSO's incompetency. Oh well...
