Hello everyone,

My fiance contacted the embassy this morning to check the status of my DV. According to the him my document verification is done , now my visa is under review. As per Grace, the consul is really busy right now and she can't provide specific time as to when they will issue the visa or to check if I'm really entitled to a visa. OMG... What does she mean? I hope and pray for a visa approval and visa delivery soon.

I believe that God will give it to us in the right time. Patience is a virtue.

and God is good all the time!

Actually, I dont have the specific date. I will have to asked my fiance for details when we get online tonight. He was in a hurry for work. I will keep you posted. Thanks.

hello! USEM called me this morning but my brother answered the phone. USEM said i need to submit MARRIAGE INDEX CHECK. Anybody here who knows marriage index check? before i left the embassy the releasing officer told me that my papers are complete, but now, they are asking for this marriage index check. They also said this morning that they need this before my medical expired.( but i finished my medical exam last july 25) . may i know the expiration date of our medical... i've got confused. ..pls i need advice ...God bless..

when was your interview?

our medical expires one year after, the one who called you was just reminding you to send the requirement before the expiration (one year after the medical) that will be July 25, 2009.

Yeah i tried to call the embassy again today afte my fiance called and they entertain me. Grace is the one i've talked to and as what she said in my fiance, my documents are in the CO now for review.. hehehe

Oct.7, my DV was completely done. They asked my fiance to call back after 2 weeks and they advise us not to buy a ticket.. Why??? Is that mean it can be denied still???

When you will call to the place again since we have on the same batch? What date are you going to call?

Godismystrength, they usually do NOT advise applicants to buy the ticket not unless you have the visa. Just a precautionary measure for us. We don't know when the visa will arrive. If you buy a ticket now and you are due to fly soon but no visa yet, you will end up paying again for rebooking. So better be safe than sorry.

Update on my case.

We tried calling USEM hotline. It was so busy, we waited on hold for more than 10 minutes so we just hung up. I checked the delbros website instead. It says "2008-10-15 11:08:11 SHIPMENT RELEASED BY THE EMBASSY".

So i guess my visa is in transit. Well hopefully its my passport with the visa on it not some letter requesting for more paperwork.

*crossing my fingers (even my toes)*
