Hey all.. My eldest daughter and her fiance set a date... AUG 27 whoo hooo .. my first born tying the knott...

nice distraction for me .. so now I get to plan her wedding.. and work out all the kinks before its my time for mine.. hahah.

anyhow.. she has since become BRIDEZILLLLAAAA.. oOHHHHHMMYYYYY GOSHHHH..

has changed things sooo many times.. driving me crazy..

I wish to find out if anyone has found any downloadable organizer programs. or forms or tracking or other helpful things to use for wedding planning?

I have seen on ourmarriage.com some forms.. some are too foofy.. and have too many things not needed.. I am going to look at the forms you can edit..

what i really need is the checklist for the wedding reception.. .and guest list.. so we can track the amount of people.. etc..

yes it would be easy to do a spreadsheet.. but hey if someone already has one.. might as well ask right..

Has anyone used anything that work for them on getting their day planned and organized?

Would love to hear.. thanks..

HI, I know it can be quite overwhelming when planning a wedding and sometimes a lil frustrating. Anyway, I went to the weddingchannel.com website. There are some really helpful things there for you to use; (planning checklist, wedding website, guestlist manager, budget calculator, registry checklist, and the list goes on.) It's a very good website and it kept me on task w/the to do list. Hope this helps you.

I found a website called "The Knot". It has a great guest list feature--you can even mark whether guests are on the A-list or the B-list! It also tells you how many guests you have as well as how many invitations you will need--you don't need an invitation for each person--just each household/family/couple.

umm I have heard some people mention theknot.com.

I have only glanced at it briefly though!

Congrats and good luck!

*grin* I will try TRY not to be a bridzilla....although my mom might be a little hard to handle! :)

cool sites.. now my other question is.. if i sign up for these sites. will I or my guest be bombarded with information due to being on my list?

Has anyone gotten a butt load of stuff since you have signed up?

I did get a couple of things in the mail (tuxedo rentals, limo companies) when i signed up for the knot, but definitely not a deluge. None of my guests mentioned having received anything. I don't remember getting any emails from them at all.

The thing I liked best about The Knot was the forums...tons of ideas, and the local forums are great for when you need something specific, like recommendations for caterers or site ideas and all that.
