Affidavits prove nothing but it doesn't matter whether they are typed.

yes but it is a requirement since we do not have a joint bank account, nor shared property etc.. One of our 3 affidavits is from the witness to the marriage. we dont have anything else.. we have only been married a month..

does an affidavit sworn to in NY have to be on a NY specific form?

are there public notaries in the PI like there are in the US? or is it that u have to go to a law office??

No, it's not a requirement. First, by definition anything listed as "in addition to the required..." is "not required".

I suggest you concentrate on item 6, if anything, and send some wedding pictures along with your translated certified marriage certificate. An affidavit from somebody saying they saw you got married is far less compelling than the required marriage certificate. Do yourself a favor and skip the affidavits.
