So I have had a few people comment on my sig, most with the line "You met on WoW, omg me too!"

So I am curious to find out if it really is as common as it seems to be becoming!

So tell me your story, when and where?

I'll go first, Chris and I play together on Kargath, He joined the guild not long after my bday in 2006, helped me out and we became close.

He offered me a room to come and visit when I finished uni last year and well one thing lead to another and here we are today.

Since this time he has become our GM, which has lead to numerous comments from our MT of "OH I would get loot too if i was sleeping with the GM..."

Come on people don't be shy!

06-18-2006 Met online in WoW

04-25-2007 Admitted that we had feelings for each other started talking on skype everyday!

10-12-2007 Met in US in person for the first time, love at first sight lol, 2 perfect months together.

06-21-2008 Engaged

08-16-2008 Package finally put together and posted to Vermont! Let the real games begin.

08-21-2008 Delieved, least thats what Fedex told us....

08-27-2008 Check Cashed *dances* come on NOA1!!!!!

08-29-2008 NOA1

10-27-2008 RFE

11-10-2008 RFE returned

03-01-2009 Confirmed Case lost by USCIS

04-03-2009 Refiled K1 Visa application complete with expedite due to USCIS error.

05-14-2009 K1 package once again has vanished....

06-08-2009 Hired lawyer to proceed with Appeal process.

06-26-2009 Paperwork Fedex'ed to lawyer

07-02-2009 Lawyer submitted our suit to court

07-17-2009 Court day 2: Success, must respond by 21st August. - No result ever came from this.

10/06/2009 Withdrew K1 petition

10/10/2009 Married

10/24/2009 CR1 packet completed and posted

10/26/2009 Packet arrived at Chicago - And Submitted our Aussie application

11/04/2009 Application of CR1 returned - was rejected because of a "blurry zip code" we didn't bother to re-apply given that Chris had lost his job

04/05/2010 Australian application still pending

September 2010 - Chris arrived in Australia on Temporary Visa.

10/10/2011 - 2 year wedding anniversary - Chris to be granted Australian Permanent Residency

Summer 2012 - Planned immigration to USA.

*We have visited each other 8 times since 2007*

We were part of a two guild alliance raiding MC. Stupid lock in my guild started a loot dispute. I tried to smooth things over. He thanked me. So, yeah, Majordomo was our match maker. I don't think I'll try to expalin that in detail to the CO.

And for the icing on the nerd cake, we've since transfered to an RP server. :lol: Our mains got married last month...

I met my fiance on kilrogg EU server, I joined his guild and we were friends for a long time i had some problems with my ex at that time and he helped me sorted it out, left my ex and we become closer and closer and spoke on skype also everyday, he then took a flight from florida to visit me here in Denmark in June :)

Long story short :D

7/31/2008 - Sended I-129F to VSC (lost in mail).

9/24/2008 - Resended I-129F to VSC (*sigh* lost again).

10/30/2008 - Resended again I-129F to VSC.

11/11/2008 - NOA1

03/09/2009 - RFE received

03/11/2009 - Returned RFE

05/23/2009 - Recieved 2nd RFE

08/05/2009 - Denied. Besides that he turns out to be a total jerk. Case ended.

My SO played WoW. Never could get into it.

Did get into Hellgate London though for a short time.

Really the only games I seem to play nowadays are single player. Still play Quake 3, still play the old Doom games, still play GTA3, SA, VC, and plan on getting 4. Still play hockey games. Of course, haven't turned on any console in like.. almost a year now. Mostly play PC games since I'm either doing work over the PC or chatting with the better half over TS/IM via PC.

As much as I may get bored of games, I always come back to them. Been playing them since I was 5.

Just not very much into MMO's, though, be as it may I'm a GM for one. :)

Haha See we loathe guild wars... but still not going to knock a game that helped you find your true love :)
