Any Indians coming to the US now for a job are just stupid.

I'll give you a placard, why don't you write that message and stand at arrivals in Newark Airport?

It would be a much more productive use of your time!

Don't seriously tell me Indians are still coming to the US for work. They cannot be that dumb..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Of course they're not. I'm kidding. Those flights from India arrive empty five times a day, doncha know. All those limo drivers holding up signs with the names of Indians they're sent to receive, go home empty-handed, day after day after day. I weep for the plight of the poor limo drivers :(

One of my friends neighbors who is Indian bought a few Taxi licenses in Melb. They are not cheap $300K plus. He also owns a few freight trucks. He is doing extremely well. He has a very traditional Indian family. For someone with no education he is living in a $500K plus house and constantly travels to India to see his family. His kids go to good private catholic schools. Which are not cheap.

I know financially I really regret moving here. I should have had my wife come to Aus.. :crying: :crying:

It's too bad they've suspended all air travel between the US and Oz or you could have gone back :(

Funny. I have spent a lot of cash in packing up and moving here. It certainly is not cheap. If I knew how things work here I would have run for the hills.

The bailout (whether or not you agree with it) was "emergency" legislation, reflecting the nature of the financial precipice we suddenly find ourselves looking over.

A satellite radio merger doesn't really have much urgency.

Yeah that must be it. Financial gurus like Pelosi must have thought long and hard about this one.

Everyone was saying it.

Everyone was saying it.

Democrats have now got us into a situation larger than the sub-prime mess. Absolutely no one has suggested how the hell we are going to pay for $700+ billion. Actually both candidates are pushing tax cuts.

Between this in the two wars, the country is financially ######..

9,595.81 wow

I think it's time I pull cash out of US banks..

We plan to buy a new couch - apart from that things may be rather thrifty this year...

See... doing your part to keep the market economy afloat. I salute thee.

Well... the new TV may have to wait until next year...

With VJ who needs TV?

Well I do like my Netflix... but Comcast will soon lose my Cable TV money.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Don't get me started on Crapcast. I hate those guys to death. I wish they would go bankrupt.
