RFE - circumstances of meeting the beneficiary

Hi VJers,

We have recieved and RFE stating they need more proof on me and my fiance meeting in person.. I have met my fiance once; when he planned for a trip to India especially to meet me and my family, We never knew how this works when we intially met and din't click pictures togather or keep any proof on files... however we do have a sketch of us togather and a e-ticket of the flight we took to meet my parents... this is all we have and a couple of emails we exchanged before we met in person and a few after he got back to USA.

Has anyone been in these shoes before or can help me with what we could send with the limited proof that we have ?

Doesn't he have stamps in his passport? Any credit card bills ?

thanks for your reply.. his passport has a stamp of him coming to india... they believe that he has come here but they want more proof of us meeting each other when he was in india

Affadavits sworn by people that were with you both perhaps?? No pics at all??

No snaps .. i know we should have clicked but we aren't into clicking pictures and stuff.. we both are reserved and dont like having anything to do with public around us...

It can't hurt...especially from non-family members that you spent time with. Credit card statements with purchases made near your home could also help. Does the e-ticket have both of your names on it? That could help.

We did not have any pictures of our meeting.

I included my boarding passes (international and domestic to show I had been to his hometown), my itinerary and 2 sworn affidavits from my sisters saying they had met him. I did not include copies of passport stamps.

We had no problems.

The affidavits are a good idea. Be sure to have the people include complete contact information along with their actual statement.

Evidence you were on the same flight somewhere will be sufficient. Boarding passes would be better than the e-ticket receipt if you have them.

Thanks for the quick replies, i will send in affidavits of my mom, brother, aunt and friends that he had been here to visit us.. we dont have our actual boarding passes but yes the e-ticket has both mine and Brad's name on it..

Sometimes, depending on the airline, they can issue a letter, or a form, attesting that person X and/or person Y (in this case you and your fiancee) were on said flight. You may try that and attach it to the e-ticket, for further proof. I had to do this when i filed our K-1. I needed to keep the originals on-hand in case they were needed, but the airline also wanted the orignial boardning passes for my mileage accrual. They had this option of requesting this 'confirmation' (for a fee, of-course) which i did, and it worked out fine.

Thanks for the reply everyone..

I have sent brad some proof but i will be sending the affidavits tomorrow in the morning... i have also requested the flight helpdesk, we travelled togather if they can trace our tickets and have anythign given to us as a proof that could validate that we have been togather.. Just hoping for the best and i hope this would be sufficient.. will let you guys know once we hear from USCIS.
