more evidence docs

Hi all,

I was wondering if it's worth it to add to all the docs I have already collected to send to the immigration center, some other evidences like for example

photocopies of credit and/ordebit cards in my name, and also photocopies of the letters got along with the credit & debit cards, although it's just in my name.............................any suggestions?

Hi Daphne,

As I mentioned similarly in another message thread:

If I were you, I would still collect the extra evidence. However, I would hold onto it, and not send it to them yet, as you don't exactly know what they want/require now. You probably don't want them to lose what you send in either if you send it in too early. As well, you don't want to send in something that they don't specifically want, and then realize that you have to re-send everything all over again. Also, they could call you in for an interview and you would have to submit such evidence then in-person instead.

Therefore, you should just hold on until you get an RFE, to know exactly what they want and to make sure everything gets sent at the right time and don't stop collecting the extra evidence either.

Then again, who knows, you might not get an RFE, and the extra evidence might not be needed, as instead you'll get the 10yr green card.....

Yes, Ant gives good advice. Collect more evidence and have it ready in case you get an RFE but don't send it in unless you do. The chances that they will match up your new submission with your old submission prior to making a decision is between nil to zero. With an RFE they have a file number and a specific address where they are holding the file waiting for the information so it can be matched up. As Ant says, you may not have an RFE, but if you do then you would be able to move quickly.

Likewise, you and everyone else on VJ give good advice on here too. More so to you too Kathryn41, as you're on the VJ boards frequently. Hmmm....maybe it's a Canadian thing too, to want to help others out (here on VJ), eh?

Overall, without the friendly, supportive, and helpful people here on VJ, I (and everyone else probably) would simply be lost in this confusing, challenging, time-consuming, and somewhat frustrating process called "immigration"...
