Our DO, San Antonio, is a 4 hour drive each way. I noticed that there is a ASC in Lubbock, about 2 hours away.

Are Biometrics scheduled at DO's or ASC's or both? If they schedule me at the DO can I switch it to the ASC?

Interview - February 13th APPROVED! day 152

April 6 - wedding date day 204

Aug 22 - AOS interview date day 101-total days 342

Sept 29 - green card arrives, done until June 2008 day 140-total days 381

I'm not sure how it goes but on our Biometric Appointment letter they scheduled us in Birmingham, which is about 4 hours away. Maybe they scheduled you based on this: ASC Locations

2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.

I had my Biometrics for AOS and EAD in ASC Lubbock. The nearest ASC from our place, it is 3 hours one way drive. This office is not crowded my scheduled was 8:00 a.m. The officer was nice and friendly.

Although we live in Illinois we were scheduled in Indiana -- that was the closest center to our house. I have a feeling they try to get you to the closest center....even if it is in another state.

If we weren't scheduled for this center I was thinking about trying to switch.....didn't have to, though....

Fortunately for Pras and myself (but not for those living in Montgomery or Frederick Counties, Hagerstown, Frostburg or Cumberland--her appointment is on 2006/06/01), the DO for MD is in Baltimore near the Inner Harbour.

You would think that in a State as big as TX, we'd get a few more centers, or they'd spread the Dallas & Houston area ones around a bit more.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail
