Well, on September 27 we mailed in our AOS/EAD/AP. I'm not ashamed to admit that I spent a lot of time after letting go of the envelope wondering if I had forgotten anything. Did I include all the required copies? Did I sign everything?

I guess I did cause yesterday, after we got home from a little "day away", there were 2 envelopes in our mailbox. One for receipt of the AOS and the other for the AP. I was a tad excited to say the least. Then I got to thinking..."Where is my NOA for the EAD?" I sure hope its in the mail and was separated from the other two.

Anyway, the waiting has started and I'm hoping that the EAD is approved soon. The AP, I'm praying for an approval before Christmas as I really need to go home to see my baby girl. It's been 3 months now since I've seen her, held her or been able to give her a kiss for no reason.

April 16, 2009 - 2 yr GC rec'd in mail.

March 2, 2011 - Mailed in I-751 to CSC

March 4, 2011 - I-751 delivered to CSC

March 4, 2011 - NOA issued

March 12, 2011 - NOA received

April 14, 2011 - BIO Appt 5/6/11

May 6, 2011 - BIO done in 10 minutes...no re-takes this time :)

June 27, 2011 - Email rec'd "Status - Approved"

July 1, 2011 - 10 yr GC arrived

We got married on the same day and we filed AOS one day apart! Pretty cool!

:)

I hope that you get a very quick approval and I hope you get your AP before Christmas.

I'm hoping for this as well cause I want to go home too.

Awe congrads. I was a total mess mailing off the AOS... It bothered me more than anything else in the process for some reason :P

AOS:

2007-02-22: Sent AOS /EAD

2007-03-06 : NOA1 AOS /EAD

2007-03-28: Transferred to CSC

2007-05-17: EAD Card Production Ordered

2007-05-21: I485 Approved

2007-05-24: EAD Card Received

2007-06-01: Green Card Received!!

Removal of Conditions:

2009-02-27: Sent I-751

2009-03-07: NOA I-751

2009-03-31: Biometrics Appt. Hartford

2009-07-21: Touched (first time since biometrics) Perhaps address change?

2009-07-28: Approved at VSC

2009-08-25: Received card in the mail

Naturalization

2012-08-20: Submitted N-400

2013-01-18: Became Citizen

You may be calling it close with the AP and EAD approval. I'm sure it varies from place to place but my AP and EAD only got approved like 1 week before my AOS interview so they were pretty null.

I hope it works out for you guys though and you can get on home for Christmas time.

D'oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so intent on making sure I'd filled in all the required spots, signed everything and had all the necessary documents - I forgot to check the dates on the bottom. :bonk: I filed the EAD on an expired form so it's already back in the mail to USCIS.

OK... I received the NOA for the EAD - good thing. However, when I checked the site it indicated that the AOS had been touched. It was touched all right - RFE is on its way. :wacko: Somehow I knew there would be a hiccup in this process tooo.

Hubby picked up the mail this morning. I have received the 2nd NOA for the AOS. My biometrics appointment is on October 28 at noon in Norridge. I'm so thankful that Larry has the day off and can drive me.

A little confused over the site indicating a RFE and then getting the bio appointment. Oh well, go with the flow, I guess.
