We got our interview letter in the mail even though the NVC staff said we didn't get one.. so, whatever..

I wanna ask if there's anyone else who's done a CR1 or going to soon to help prepare for the interview, I heard about a forth package.. is it the mail that we recieved? or what, we all know how "awesome" the mail system is in jordan so how do I go about finding what do I need to do?

I filed all the originals to the NVC including the general intelligence paper, do I need something else from the police ? or is that it?

I'm doing my medical check in the next few days. and then the required vaccination ( Human XP Service Pack 2  ).

What is the date of your interview? I am trying to find out so I can have an idea when my husband will get his interview at the same embassy.

I am currently preparing my husband for his interview next Wednesday. He will take in with him the following:

Interview letter (important)

2 passport photos

Sealed medical file from medical exam

Copies of all documents previously submitted to the NVC including tax transcripts

Copies of my passport pages with Jordan visa stamps showing I have visited Jordan since the wedding

Photos of wedding and us together during visit several months later

The 4th package is the interview letter. Whoever is the "choice of agent" will receive this. I received it for my husband. He did not get a copy of this, although they did say he would be notified. I am guessing he is notified through his agent...which is me. He has not received anything from the Jordan Post on this yet. I scanned the document and emailed it to my husband so he can print it and take it with him. It indicates that you must take the interview letter with you for the interview or it could cause major delays.

With the 4th package (interview letter) you get the list of documents on the last page that you will need to bring the originals of. It is a checklist of what was already sent to the NVC and what is still needed. All of our documents were submitted to the NVC with either the I-130 (original petition), I-864 (financial form) or DS-230 (visa application) so my husband will not need to take any originals with him...just copies of the originals that were sent.

I hope this helps. I will be updating the forum after my husband's interview to let you know how it went with this list of documents.

Hey everyone thanks for the response..

@ TamaraLovesAdam

yea, thats what we got, only a letter and four other papers describing some special cases, and the last was a check list and seems we sent everything ..

@ S and S

My interview is on the 21st and was nvc completed on the 31st of july. that was a long wait..

Do I really need to take photocopies of everything? I mean, looks like if they didn't get it in the package then its not their business in the first place? I'll only take a selection of new pictures and ticket stubs for a trip we did to istanbul.. as well as some photos from different visits and trips.

I would definitely take the copies....what if something got lost in the transition from NVC to the embassy? You don't want to risk not having something you need....I put all of the documents for our case together and its not that much paper. Better to be safe than sorry. A little folder with the documents are important to bring...I am suggesting copies...many take originals of everything because they got extra copies, i.e., birth certificate, police certificate, etc.
