Please clarify this one more time PLEASE

Hello All,

My fiance's interview date is October 16th:

So I thought I had everything complete and okay, and then I read here that some people are being denied at the interview because they are following the guideline's way of not checking a box (ticking a box) on question #11, and writing "N/A, K1 visa process for permanent residence."

Now, I don't know what to do. Should we follow the way of the guide, or should I hurry and complete another I-134 and check the box "I intend to make specific contributions......" and still write the "N/A, K1......"

I am now feeling completely insecure about this and have no idea of what to do. Please assist.

I checked "I do not intend..." I wasn't paying for anything specific for him... we were blending households. They will take that into consideration at the interview.

Keep in mind that the I-134 is used for other visa types, not just the K1.

Thank you for the reply, but the reason I wrote asking for help was because there have been recent posts in THIS (UK) forum posted by those who are being denied because of this.

However, I do highly appreciate your responses. I am usually quite calm, but it is down to the wire now, and I seem to have LOST MY MIND.

There was a poster who did get challenged about that statement. I can't find the post in question. Don't recall if he was on K1 or not. I do recall he wasn't denied though, he did get the visa.

So, do you think it is okay to still follow the guides and:

1. Leave the boxes UN-checked/ UN-ticked

2. Write the "N/A......." phrase

I have my I-134 already completed and notarized. If I have not checked a box, can I "sneak" and check the box with an ink pen AFTER already filling the form out on the computer and after it has been notarized?

If I was you I would leave it as it is, at this late stage. Trying to alter after it being notarized will only spark suspicion.

You will only be allowed to hand over one of the I-134 forms though... They may find it abit weird if you try give them two different ones I would imagine?

I was thinking that in the event they questioned the initial I-134, he would then whip out the other one to back-it-up. I don't know....

Gareth will hand over the amended one that I just sent that states I WILL support him as my fiance' and soon to be husband etc... as well I do plan to support his stay at home daddy/my "manny" self heh heh
