Hi I'm hoping I won't get an RFE for tax documents for my AOS application.

I included my 1040A and W2. I just realized I had 14 dollars of interest from my savings account. I did not include a 1099 for this. Its only for $14...Did I need to include the 1099-INT from my bank?? I hope not.....

Get the 1099 from your bank and keep it with you, just in case. If they do send an RFE, you will have it ready to send back immediately.

If they're really checking the numbers on the W-2 and on the 1040 form, they might see a $14 difference but I think (at least a rational mind would think) that the whole point is to see if you've met the 125% poverty guideline. If your income is well over that, it should make no difference.

But like the other poster said, have it at the ready in case they want to see it.

If you are relying on a $14 1099 to put you over the required threshold then you have a lot more to worry about than a missing 1099. The 1099's they are most interested in are not 1099 INT, DIV, OID but 1099 MISC. This is the 1099 received by self-employed individuals.

YMMV

Look at your 1040A... what is on line 8a (taxable interest)?

If the $14 is listed there, they may RFE you to get that 1099. I wouldn't worry until there's something to worry about. They often miss little details like this.
