Anyone here who has any idea or have experienced on what to do with below;

We decided that my daughter will just follow us to the US later since she is doing great in her school.

Now... what will I prepare for her? I heard about this DSWD thing. I was never married, and I didn't put her father's name on her Birth Certificate.

Aside from those requirements I should prepare for Manila Interview, what should I prepare for hers?

Please please, kinda getting worried that I might need something that I might missed preparing.

Any idea will be highly appreaciated!

God bless us all in this journey!

Firstly the K-2 needs to be issued within 1 year after the K-1 is issued. K-2 should be listed on K-1's petition.

I was looking at Manila Website good info on FTJ http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3226.html

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hi! Thanks for sharing... So the only thing that should be done is to mention my daughter's name on the application? Nothing more?

Does she need a passport for me to present to the embassy ??

Do you think she will be asked during the interview? Ofcse they would ask why not she wont go with me  silly question :star:

Just make sure you add her on the petition so when you do decide to bring her to the US, she can enter the US without problems.

your fiance should have listed your daughter on the 129f that he submitted to USCIS. for your interview, you will be listing your daughter on the DS-156k that you will be submitting. your daughter does not need to attend the interview if she will not be applying for a visa at that time. If any questions asked, you would just say she is following to join. you do not need a passport fro your daughter at your interview. however, if she does not yet have one, get her one before you depart the Philippines.

It's a LOT easier if you bring your anak with you! She'll have to adjust to US schools sooner or later. My daughter was way ahead of schools here when came.

Great! Thanks so much for sharing... your opinion answered everything that's been wondering in my mind.

Yes, she is listed on the petition that was recently approved. I better get her a passport then... Thanks again :star:

I agree. children may even have an easier time adjusting than the adults. plus you can never replace the time lost with your child.

I totally agree with this. I could never leave my daughter behind. Time lost will never be recovered- especially with kids :)

I am pro children coming with their mother at the same time, but I understand everyone's situation can be different. whether same time or follow to join, the end goal is the same, to be together as a family.
