Some of you may remember this comic strip.... I don't know whether it's still running or not. I remember cutting these out of our local paper and pasting them in a scrapbook when I was very young.

I thought about combining this with the 'What is marriage' thread, but I thought it would be easier to read them separately.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I can think of many ways to finish this sentence but right now, I'd have to say:

forgiving him for being an ### even though he hurt you

seeing an imperfect person perfectly

trying to be reasonable and then just giving up all control when you realize it's not going to go away

impatient of all delays
