Marriage is twice as fun as being single.

Some good ones here, especially the ones about the hardships.

Here is a quote from "nowhereman" from another thread:

"I believe in rights for gay couples but not gay marriage (civil union is a legal distinction, gay marriage a religious distinction)."

Although I would love to be alive in a world where one day all people have rights that straights have taken for granted....I do agree that marriage is simply a religious state of being and so the government once again has poked its nose where it shouldn't.

State and religion.....arrrrrr!!!

I do believe that in the province of Quebec (they have their own immigration policies separate from Canada, haha), they recognize common law couples,

even if you move there from another country.

Excuse me for going over my one allowed statement. Oops! Hee, hee.

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You will do foolish things.

A marriage is a challenge.

Thats all.

I went to a wedding for my husbands family a few weeks ago and the priest told everyone:

"There are four rings of marriage: the engagement ring, the wedding ring, the suffering, and the enduring"

A marriage is always made up of two people who are prepared to swear that only the other one snores.

~Terry Pratchett, The Fifth Elephant

I DO NOT SNORE! You're the one who snores!

Marriage is...living your life striving to make someone elses' life happy for the rest of your life.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

was it a double ring ceremony? where the groom put on her finger and she put one thru his nose? :innocent:
